Gabbiano Chianti Classico Riserva, Italy

Excellent red with layers of dark fruits, plums, dark cherry, complemented by toasted oak, tobacco, menthol, mushroom and truffles. On the palate, it is bold with notes of clove, peppercorn and anise accenting the core of dried black cherry. Assertive, fine-grained, racy tannins provide the framework for a full body with a long, flavourful finish. A solid example of a Riserva Chianti Classico with lovely balance and structure.
